The Learning Portfolio
The Learning Portfolio is a document that I created during my MA studies Graduate Program in Teaching English to Young Learners offered at the University of Warsaw in years 2014-2016.
It was designed in order to help me to reflect on my past and present experiences and to document the process of becoming an effective teacher..
It presents the process of learning to teach as cumulative and indicating that varied experiences lead to the development of teaching skills.
Working on the development of my portfolio I managed to identify areas for improvement, I was able to show the evidence of my work and the process of knowledge development. Reflective teachers are aware that learning is a lifelong process and they do not only teach, but they also learn with their students and from them.
I developed 4 portflio areas that I consider essential for a language teacher working with young learners in a variety of contexts, including CLIL and bilingual settings.
